The Experience
This course is about seeing the light within the colors—and choosing your own path from the abundance of forms. Step by step: observe, decide, move forward. With Inge H. Schmidt, painting is not explained; it is experienced.
Each day begins with a brief insight. Afterward, you work at your own pace—supported, attentive, and without pressure. In the evening, we gather to observe and discuss the works together.
What emerges during these two weeks is not a style—but a leap in seeing.
Week 1: Arrival & Discovery

July 12: Arrival at Holdenweid. Check-in from 15:00. Shared dinner.

July 13–17: Intensive painting days in the studio. Insights from Inge and one-on-one guidance.

July 18 (Sat): A change of perspective. Group excursion to the Kunstmuseum Basel.

July 19 (Sun): A day at the Rhine (optional). Time for sketching, swimming, or rest (lunch packets included).
Week 2: Deepening & The Work

July 20–24: Return to the studio. The work intensifies.

July 22 (Wed): Excursion to the Jura. Painting in the landscape to experience the light directly at its source.

July 24 (Fri): Completing the work. In the evening, a festive Vernissage & music in the Salon.

July 25 (Sat): Breakfast and departure by 11:00.
